Shunning Part A
by new boy inthere is one very important question they should ask you before you get baptized, but for some odd reason they don’t.
that question should be: “are you aware that if you join this religion by getting baptized, if you ever change your mind at any time in the future and decide to leave it, you will be shunned?
this means your friends, parents, children and relatives will have nothing to do with you for the rest of your life.”.

There is one very important question they should ask you before you get baptized, but for some odd reason they don’t. That question should be: “Are you aware that if you join this religion by getting baptized, if you ever change your mind at any time in the future and decide to leave it, you will be shunned? This means your friends, parents, children and relatives will have nothing to do with you for the rest of your life.”
So what is this shunning all about? This is the biggest tool The Watch Tower and Tract Society has to control its members.
The dictionary says shunning is to persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution. To avoid, evade, steer clear of, keep one’s distance from, have nothing to do with.
Yep, shunning is a pretty powerful tool. How many people out there could handle being shunned by all your family members? Yet, if you ever decide to leave this religion that is what could be in store for you.
Maybe it doesn’t matter if they ask this question because most eight and nine year olds would probably say yes anyway.
Wouldn’t it be funny if they said no? “Mom, Dad, I changed my mind! I’m not getting baptized. Since there is a strong probably I might decide to be a homosexual in twenty years from now, I’ve decided not to get baptized after all. This way we can still be friends and you won’t have to shun me!”
This really isn’t that funny because if thousands of kids could see their lives down the road many years later, they would certainly have never allowed themselves to get baptized in the first place. Sometimes joining the club is the worst thing you can do.
If you are unrepentant and get dis-fellowshipped and thus shunned that’s one thing. If you are dis-fellowshipped but are repentant and want back into their organization, this is a whole different ball game. You must endure a brutal reinstatement process. Since they love you so much, they let you come back to their meetings. You can sit in the back of the Kingdom Hall with your eyes looking down, feeling the shame of your transgression. No, they don’t put a large scarlet letter on your clothes, but they might as well for how they treat you. No one can talk to you. You will get a lot of stares. This will happen for months or sometime even years. You will be treated this way until the Elders decide if you have paid the price for your sins. They must determine if you are truly repentant or just trying to put on an act of looking repentant. The more times you are dis-fellowshipped, the longer they will make you wait to get back in again. Or if they just don’t like you for some reason, you will have to wait longer too. Every group of Elders is different. In one congregation, you could be back in “good standing” and reinstated in just a few months for having sex before marriage; in another congregation, it could take a few years for the same offense. In some congregations, you might not get dis-fellowshipped at all for the same offense. If you are friends with some of the higher ups or children of some of the Elders you might get some special consideration. Yes, you might just get “reproved ” with no dis-fellowshipping at all. In fifty years as a member, I saw this happen dozens of times.
I know it sounds strange, but for some odd reason many unbaptized people are treated better then baptized people in the organization. For example, a Jehovah’s Witnesses family could have two children. Let’s say the children are twins. One child is baptized and one is not. They both end up doing an activity that is not approved of by the Witnesses. If the baptized one is dis-fellowshipped, he will be shunned for sure. However the unbaptized one can’t be dis-fellowshipped because he never made a commitment by being baptized. So he might not get completely shunned. In this case, by making the decision as a child to get baptized, you are at a greater disadvantage then your unbaptized sibling. This brings us to our next question.
So you must be baptized first in order to be shunned by Jehovah’s Witnesses later? Well, not necessarily. You can still be shunned if you are not baptized. You might be “marked.” This is usually done unofficially. The Elders or an Elder or just a group of “Brothers and Sisters” talk among themselves and determine which individuals in Kingdom Hall should be considered “bad associations.” You might not even know that you are marked. Most the time this is done unofficially. Sometimes it is done officially. In this case, the Elder will make an announcement to the whole congregation that certain people are considered to be “bad associations.” So you might know or you might not know that you are on their shit list. One way you will know is that people will start acting very differently around you. Yes, the unofficial shun.
I know all of this is very confusing.

The front cover of the May/June 1996 Free Minds Journal provides a rearview of Beth-Sarim (indicating it was for sale) with a caption, “Is Joe [J.F.R.] buried in the back yard?” On the back page a brief review of Beth-Sarim concludes: “Fred Franz, fourth WT president, often indicated Rutherford was (illegally) buried in the back yard.” In a telephone conversation about the statement attributed to Franz, ex-Bethelite and Free Minds Journal editor Randall Watters said that he heard this from a number of persons who had worked in Watchtower headquarters.45
This account is further verified by Mike, a Jehovah’s Witness, who along with a friend visited the Brooklyn headquarters early in 1987. Their visit took them to Franz’s office. He asked Franz about a story he had heard about a burial site on a piece of property that was not part of the original estate . Who was buried there? Without any hesitation — he remembers it as clearly as if it happened yesterday — Franz said, “Judge Rutherford was buried there.”

Rutherford has no known grave so in an interview with Fred Franz before he died he basically stated he was buried there. Rumor has it he is buried underneath the garage floor under 6 inches of concrete. Maybe he is down there inside one of his Packers.
The society had to bury him on the sly because the city San Diego refused their request to do this there.

"New Light" on "New Light"
by new boy init’s just the “new light” is much better and brighter than the old light.
1965: more “new light.” these men will be resurrected, for sure.. 1988: jehovah apparently changed his mind once again.
the light gets brighter.

Good question Tiki
It usually goes this way.
A married couple who have been enjoying good oral sex before they become JWs stop doing this activity now that they heard the truth about it. That it was something only Satan could have invented. In the heat of passion fall prey to temptation once again and do the unthinkable. Now one of the two (usually the wife) knows there is only one thing she must do. She must go to the elders and lay bare her and her husbands transgression.
The three "brothers" who happen to be elders, none of whom have a college education. In fact one is a janitor, one is a car salesman (who used to watch porn late at night himself) and last brother who hasn't worked for years (because Armageddon is coming any day) will want to know in every detail how this act was preformed. They will want to know what she was feeling when this activity was happening....did she feel guilty.... what was she thinking...was she thinking about field service? Or maybe she was thinking about how she and her husband could be DFed for this and thus be killed at Armageddon.
I hope this information has been helpful.

Of course, the leaders of the Jehovah’s Witnesses can never say they were ever wrong about anything. The reason for this is that the leaders have told everyone a thousand times over, including in their publications, that this organization is run directly by God Himself. We are told that the “Governing Body” gets all their information directly from God. How else could God’s only true religion on Earth be run? That is why in their 150 plus year history, there has never been an apology. (Even with the 1975 debacle, they blamed the publishers for “reading too much into the date” and not themselves. More on this soon.)
However, despite God running the place, the leaders have screwed up and changed their minds and policies over the years. They have done this on dozens of occasions.
Since God can never be wrong, they had to come up with the term “new light.” The old light isn’t wrong of course. It could never be. It’s just the “new light” is much better and brighter than the old light. Very clever don’t you think?
Here are some of the few examples of how “the new light” has come into play or as they say “the light has gotten brighter” over the years.
On whether or not the gay men of Sodom would be resurrected to the paradise Earth:
1879: These men will be resurrected.
1952: The light gets brighter. These men will not be resurrected.
1965: More “new light.” These men will be resurrected, for sure.
1988: Jehovah apparently changed his mind once again. These men will not be resurrected!
How about the separating of the "sheep and the goats ” during the judgment period?"
1919: It will take place after the time of tribulation.
1923: It is taking place now, before the tribulation.
1995: Guess what? The light gets brighter. It will take place after the time of tribulation.
Then you have the ‘Lord’ in Romans 10: 12-16
1903: 'Lord' refers to Jesus.
1940: The light gets brighter? 'Lord’ refers to Jehovah.
1978: The light gets dimmer? 'Lord' refers to Jesus.
1980: The light gets brighter once again? 'Lord' refers to Jehovah.
These are just a few of the hundreds of things the Society has changed their mind on over the years.
They say they are directed by god himself and they say he never lies. So why would their god Jehovah give so much false or misleading information over the years? How and why would he flip flop so many times?
Seems light from god might be on a on a dimmer switch sometimes, brightening the light and dimming it once again.
But who knows, maybe it’s not God changing his mind about all this stuff. It’s just a bunch of confused old church leaders, just like in the other religions in the world who all claim God is only talking to them.
If this “new light” stuff is pretty confusing, just ask Jehovah’s Witnesses about it. They won’t be able to explain it either.

No Carol Combs is very much alive in fact she was the one that picked up the phone first today. It has been 45 years since I had been there so of course they didn't know who the hell I was. I told both Norm and Tom they are both be in my book. Tom said "it will be flattering?" "Of course" I said. I'm going to mail them all the book when it comes out.
The funny thing is,I saw so much nasty shit in just 4 years there can you imagine all the nasty stuff they have seen in over 50 years there....

Then I called up Daryl Christenson. He wasn't so friendly. I forgot I had sent him the book I wrote about reincarnation called "Your Crazy Life". He wanted to know my standing with the organization. I said "I was out." He said he couldn't talk to me. He told me, I needed to go to the local elders. Funny he has been at Bethel for over 52 years and an elder for most that time. yet he couldn't talk to me but the local elders can.
Go figure!
P.S. He said he read my book cover to cover. I was very surprised.

Loose Conduct
by Hangin_on inmy friend has been married 25 years.
he works with another jw.
they kissed and he touched her nipples but did not have sex with her.
-

It all depends, how long did he play with her nipples a few minutes or hours? The elders will ask all kinds of questions about this. They will ask what he was thinking about when he was doing this. They will ask if he was enjoying this activity. They will ask about the size and shape of her nipples. This could be all quit complicated. A very serious matter.
However if he is a pedophile and there wasn't 2 or more witnesses to the act they would just let go with a harsh warning.

So on their web site it says.
We seek to maintain an upbuilding, entertaining, safe, open, and intellectually stimulating environment, where mature Christians can exercise their God-given "freeness of speech." (2 Corinthians 3:12) A few principles can help us to do that:
We reserve the right to edit or delete posts, at our discretion, to meet with our code of conduct rules.Freeness of speech?.....Say anything you want as long as we agree with it. Yep they are the watchtower bible and truck society alright
